Schoolchildren in St. Petersburg were cheated out of 52 thousand rubles with "cheap tickets" to the ballet "Nutcracker. This was reported by a source of "Izvestia" on February 6.
In November 2024, the class teacher offered to take the children to the theater, saying that she had a contact of a girl who sells tickets for 2 thousand rubles for adults and 1 thousand rubles for children. Br52 thousand was collected.
Parents made a transfer of funds on November 11. The tickets were to be provided on December 25, the day of the performance.
Later, a message came from the seller that the performance will not take place allegedly due to a glitch. The girl undertook to return the money, but at the same time constantly postponed the date and conditions.
A criminal case under part 2 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy") has been instituted.
Earlier, on February 3, it was reported that phone scammers in Moscow deceived a 17-year-old young man. He was persuaded to open the safe of his parents and give money from there through a courier to people who introduced themselves as employees of "Rosfinmonitoring" and law enforcement agencies. The young man gave the intruders over 5.6 million rubles, most of which was kept in US dollars and euros.
