Air defense forces eliminated 28 Ukrainian UAVs overnight over Russian regions

The air defense forces intercepted 28 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 6.

"During the past night on duty air defense means destroyed 28 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles," - informed the press service in the Telegram-channel of the department.

It is specified that 13 drones were intercepted over the waters of the Sea of Azov, eight - over the territory of the Rostov region, six UAVs - over the territory of the Krasnodar region and one - over the territory of the Astrakhan region.

Cruise missiles "Ruta" and "Peklo" could be used in a large-scale raid on our territory.

Earlier, on February 3, air defense forces eliminated 70 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions overnight. 27 UAVs over Rostov Region; 25 UAVs over Volgograd Region; seven over Astrakhan Region, five over Voronezh Region, four over Belgorod Region, and two over Kursk Region.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
