Orban supported the Trump administration's decision to suspend USAID's work
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has welcomed the decision of US President Donald Trump's administration to suspend the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
"Apparently, USAID funded the ultra-progressive Politico newspaper in Brussels and virtually all left-wing media in Hungary under the previous US administration. And they named me 'destroyer of the year,'" he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Orban noted that, the world should be grateful to Trump who exposed and stopped this "dark conspiracy."
American billionaire Ilon Musk on February 3 announced the launch of the process to dismantle USAID. The billionaire noted that this agency is unrecoverable, it should be closed. At the same time, US President Donald Trump called the heads of USAID radical madmen.
