February 6 was declared a day of mourning in the city of Chernyakhovsk, Kaliningrad region, in connection with the murder of a seven-year-old boy by his stepfather. About it on February 5 reports the administration of Chernyakhovsk urban district in Telegram-channel.

"In connection with the tragic death of Danil Trekhlebov February 6, 2025 on the territory of Chernyakhovsky district is declared a day of mourning," - stated in the statement.

It is specified that the farewell to the child will be held on February 6 at 13:00 in the Cathedral of Archangel Michael.

About the disappearance of the boy became known on February 3. A criminal case was initiated. Police officers, canine service and volunteers were involved in the search for the child. Later his body was found. The same day detained the stepfather of the boy on suspicion of murder.

In memory of the boy, February 4, on Victory Square in Kaliningrad there was a spontaneous memorial. Photos of the child are placed at the column on the square, lamps, children's toys and flowers are brought there.

February 5, Leningradsky district court of Kaliningrad sent the stepfather under arrest for two months. It was reported that the defendant and his defense counsel did not object to the satisfaction of the motion.
