Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted for ratification to the State Duma a treaty with Belarus on security guarantees within the framework of the Union State. The corresponding document is posted on February 6 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"To appoint Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Viktorovich Grushko as the official representative of the President of the Russian Federation when the chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation consider the issue of ratification of the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on security guarantees within the framework of the Union State, signed in Minsk on December 6, 2024," the document says.
