Death rate from cancer diseases decreased by 3.4% in the Tula region
The mortality rate from oncologic diseases decreased by 3.4% in the Tula region in 2024. This is reported by TSN24 with reference to information from the Ministry of Health of the region.
In total, more than 6.5 thousand cases of cancer were detected during the year. Each patient is closely monitored by doctors. Oncologists perform all types of surgical interventions. With the help of modern technologies doctors managed to reduce the rehabilitation time after surgery, reduce traumatization and speed up the patient's recovery.
In more than half of cases, cancer is detected at an early stage. Doctors remind that the key risk factors for the development of the disease are bad habits, poor diet and sedentary lifestyle.
In Moscow, the mortality rate of patients with oncology within the first year after diagnosis decreased from 17% in 2019 to 11.5% in 2024. In addition, the number of cancer cases that were detected at early stages increased to 67.7%.
