Russian Armed Forces destroy five Ukrainian "Baba Yaga" drones in LNR

Combat drones of the 20th Combined Armed Forces Army of the "West" group of troops have rammed five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) "Baba Yaga" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). This was reported by the Ministry of Defense on February 5.

"On the footage of objective control calculations of air cover of assault units destroyed five reconnaissance and strike drones of the enemy <...> "Baba Yaga" by ramming in the air", - stated in the statement.

It is specified that the Russian army is on round-the-clock duty in the sky in the zone of the special military operation (SMO) of the LNR and identifies reconnaissance and attack drones of the enemy. They also carry out the destruction of AFU drones.

Earlier, on February 3, the Russian military groups of troops "North" by calculations of FPV-drone destroyed a pickup truck of the AFU in Kharkiv region. It is specified that the object was identified with the help of a drone. Military equipment was intended for transportation of militants.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
