Implementation of national projects and prospects for cooperation between the Samara Region and the Roscongress Foundation were discussed in Moscow

Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, met with Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, Governor of the Samara Region, in Moscow. The participants of the meeting discussed the plan for implementing the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation following his visit to the Samara Region, as well as the implementation of national projects in the region. Special attention during the meeting was paid to the joint work of the Roscongress Foundation and the Samara Region on the domestic and international forum track.

One of the key goals of Russia's national and strategic development, outlined by the head of state, is to strengthen foreign economic and cultural ties with friendly countries. In this context, an integrated approach to promoting investment opportunities of Russian territories both domestically and internationally acquires special significance.

"Today we have reached important agreements aimed at promoting and supporting initiatives to develop regional brands of the Samara region, including projects in the field of creative industries within the framework of major Russian and international congress and exhibition events. I am confident that with the expert assistance of the Roscongress Foundation, the implementation of these initiatives will make a significant contribution to the successful implementation of the roadmap for the fulfillment of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation concerning the socio-economic development of the Samara region and the country as a whole. This will open up new prospects for strengthening the region's position, attracting investment and creating conditions for sustainable growth, which will ultimately contribute to Russia's prosperity," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.

Investment projects of the Samara Region are traditionally presented at major international events organized by the Roscongress Foundation. The work is carried out within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed earlier between the region and the Foundation, which enshrines the main provisions on information, expert and strategic cooperation for the formation of a strong investment image of the region. The document also contains a number of agreements on the creation of a competitive congress and exhibition industry of international level in the Samara region.

Thus, special attention during the meeting was paid to the development of creative industries and mechanisms for their support in the Samara region, as well as the festival "Soul of Russia", which will be traditionally presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum from June 18 to 21 this year. The event is designed to demonstrate modern achievements of representatives of creative industries of Russian regions in the field of culture with an emphasis on regional and ethnic characteristics.

An important track of the meeting was the discussion of the organization and holding of the International Forum "Russia - a Sporting Power", which will be held in the Samara region this autumn. About six thousand participants from Russia and abroad are expected to take part in the event. When choosing the venue for the forum in 2025, the region's experience in holding major sporting events, including international ones, was taken into account. For example, Samara hosted the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Russian-Chinese Summer Games, karate and Greco-Roman wrestling competitions, and boxing and rugby matches. Clubs from the Premier League soccer, Continental Hockey League and VTB United League basketball play here.

"The implementation of the program of social and economic development of the Samara Region is an important component of the state policy aimed at strengthening the position of Russia. One of the key priorities of this policy is to create decent living conditions for citizens, unlock the internal potential of Russian regions, and attract strategic partners in key sectors of the economy and industry at all levels - federal and regional. In this regard, the promotion of the Samara region's opportunities as a center of advanced ideas and innovative technologies, as well as the presentation of the region's investment opportunities on the margins of Russian and international business events, will be one of the most important elements of cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation within the framework of the agreements adopted today," emphasized Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, Governor of the Samara region.

During the discussion he spoke in detail about the implementation of the key goals of the region's development, reflected in the program of social and economic development of the Samara region for 2024 - 2029, among which are health and increase in average life expectancy, development of sports, unlocking and developing the potential of residents, ensuring a comfortable and safe living environment, development of innovations, tourism and hospitality industry.
