In Tobolsk TDF, prisoners locked themselves in a cell and did not let police officers in

Five prisoners, who were transferred from Tyumen to the temporary detention center (IVS) in Tobolsk, blocked the door of their cell and refused to let police officers in. This was reported by the regional department of the Russian Interior Ministry on February 5.

"On repeated demands to stop unlawful behavior, the offenders did not respond. The actions of the intruders were in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law "On police" were suppressed with the use of physical force and special means", - stated in the message of the agency.

When the police were able to enter the cell, they found that one of the etapiste has a cut wound on the left forearm, he was taken to a medical facility.

A command investigation is currently underway to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on September 21, 2024, in Turkestan region in southern Kazakhstan, prisoners rioted because of disagreement with the conditions of detention. During the suppression of the riot, two military officers from the National Guard and an employee of the DNIC were lightly wounded and received medical treatment.
