Russian ambassador to Egypt talks about the development of the Russian industrial zone

Egypt is finalizing the process of ratification of the protocol to the agreement on the creation of a Russian industrial zone, Russian Ambassador to the republic Georgy Borisenko told Izvestia.

"After this protocol is ratified in Egypt (ratification is not required in Russia), concrete work will begin to put this project into practice. Egypt, for its part, is allocating two land plots on which the buildings of future enterprises can be built. There is still a lot of organizational work to be done, which will require efforts both from the Russian side - the Ministry of Industry and Trade, VEB Development Corporation and other organizations, and from Egyptian friends," the ambassador said.

Russian private companies will have an opportunity to produce their goods in Egypt and export them to other countries, the diplomat added.
