Junior Lieutenant Morsky facilitated the capture of an AFU fortified point

Guards junior lieutenant Ivan Morsky and his group snuck into the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) positions to storm an enemy fortified point. On Wednesday, February 5, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
Russian reconnaissance using a drone identified the location of military equipment and firing points, after which Morsky's group, having taken the most favorable positions, attacked the enemy. Two machine gun points of the AFU were eliminated immediately, the Ukrainian side moved to retreat. Morsky spotted seven AFU servicemen who were trying to escape in a pickup truck. With a targeted shot from an RPG, the junior lieutenant destroyed the vehicle along with the enemy personnel.
As a result of the battle, the AFU stronghold was taken and cleared without any casualties in Morsky's group.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the personal courage and professionalism of Guards Senior Lieutenant Vladislav Leonov, who commanded a platoon of an anti-aircraft missile battery of the anti-aircraft division.
Leonov, as part of an aerial observation post, carried out the task of covering Russian assault groups conducting an attack on enemy positions from enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and FPV drones.
The senior lieutenant spotted kamikaze drones and a heavy Baba Yaga-type drone approaching the Russian positions in time. Leonov gave the command to shoot down the enemy drones and opened fire himself. He managed to destroy the two FPV drones with aimed AK-74 fire. The Baba Yaga UAV detonated in mid-air as a result of concentrated fire from several Russian servicemen.
Leonov also organized the evacuation to a safe place for further treatment of two Russian Armed Forces servicemen wounded in the clash.
Earlier, on February 4, the ministry said that Guards Sergeant Alexander Putilov participated in the destruction of a drone and an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of the AFU as part of an artillery gun crew.
Prior to that, on February 3, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Private Anatoly Bondarenko as part of the unit carried out a combat mission to defend the occupied positions on an important tactical line. With the help of a drone Bondarenko detected the covert movement of AFU troops' equipment in the direction of Russian troops' positions and promptly transmitted the coordinates to artillery calculations.
