US President Donald Trump intends to continue to support Israel. This was revealed on February 4 by Michael Waltz, the US President's National Security Advisor, in an interview with Fox News.

Commenting on Trump's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he said what to expect as a result of the talks.

"We have a lot to discuss today, we'll get to the details later, but we're very happy to see Prime Minister Netanyahu here. No one should doubt that President Trump fully supports Israel, its right to self-defense and a peaceful future," Waltz said.

The presidential adviser noted that the U.S. will bring up the hostage release and threats from the Yemeni Houthis and Iran.

"Our first American, Keith Siegel, just came out. We have a lot more to come. <...> So how do we proceed with the liberation? How do we deal with the Houthis and this constant threat? How do we deal with the threat from Iran?" - he commented.

Waltz also informed that the US needs to go back to the Abrahamic Accords and prepare for their next round.

"The ongoing conversations that Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff is having with Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, with our Gulf allies, and of course with Qatar. <...> That is the goal. Let's get back to infrastructure, to data centers, to these big deals that only President Trump can make," he concluded.

On this day, WP revealed details of the upcoming meeting between Netanyahu and Trump. It is reported that the Israeli prime minister's visit to the US is to take the format of a "series of business talks" in which he will discuss with top US officials the Gaza ceasefire, as well as a number of other regional conflicts that Trump would like to "resolve or mitigate."

Earlier, on February 1, Netanyahu intends to announce his desire to fly out to meet with Trump. The Israeli prime minister's office indicated that Netanyahu had agreed with Trump's special envoy for the Middle East to begin talks on the second phase of the Gaza deal in the United States on Feb. 3.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip into Israel. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
