- More than 100 thousand gas stoves have been checked in Moscow since the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of 2025 in Moscow experts have checked more than 100 thousand gas stoves in the apartments of citizens. This was reported on Tuesday, February 4, by Deputy Mayor of the capital on housing and public utilities and improvement Petr Biryukov.
According to him, specialists of the complex of municipal economy checked the performance and compliance of stoves with safety requirements. In case of detection of violations gas workers exclude the threat of safety and give the owners recommendations for further operation and repair, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".
Citizens can learn about the dates and times of inspections from the information on stands in entrances and yards.
Biryukov emphasized that gas safety issues are under special control. Scheduled maintenance of all gasified housing stock is carried out annually. In Moscow about 1.8 million families use gas stoves, it is important to check such equipment in time. Responsibility for maintenance in proper condition and replacement of gas equipment rests with the owner or tenant of the residential premises, notes "Moscow 24".
Also on February 4, 360.ru wrote that residents of the Moscow region can order repair and replacement of gas equipment through the regional portal of public services. Most often required replacement of gas stoves and water heaters, as well as the renewal of flexible supply lines and burner nozzles.
On January 22, construction expert Fyodor Vasiliev told RT about the possibility for pensioners to receive financial assistance for repairs. A pensioner should apply to the social security authorities for payment. The conclusion on the need for repairs is drawn up by a housing commission, whose representatives inspect the apartment and determine the types of necessary repairs, Regnum IA notes.
January 16, Petr Biryukov said that in 2025 in Moscow will check about 1.8 million gas stoves in the apartments of citizens.
In April last year the State Duma passed a law on increasing fines for failure to allow the gasman in the house. In particular, the fine for citizens increased fivefold - up to 5-10 thousand rubles. The same fine is provided for unauthorized installation or replacement of gas equipment in the apartment, without employees of a specialized organization authorized for such work, according to the website kp.ru.
