A girl was taking a shower with her phone and died from an electric shock in Karelia

In the city of Kondopoga, Republic of Karelia, a woman died of electrocution because of using her phone in the shower. This was reported on February 4 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the Republic.

"It is established that in the evening on February 3, 2025, the woman, disregarding the rules of safety, took a shower in her apartment, using at this time a cell phone, connected for charging to the power grid. Due to the ingress of water on the electrical device, the victim received an electric shock," - stated in the publication of the agency in Telegram.

It is noted that the death of a woman born in 1993 occurred on the spot.

Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, a procedural check is being conducted.

Earlier, on January 21, it was reported that in the Lipetsk region, a 17-year-old teenager died of electrocution in a transformer box. It is established that he climbed over the fence, behind which there was a transformer box, climbed into it through a broken window and grabbed a bare wire.
