Suspect in stepson's murder told of beating him for refusing to exercise


In the town of Chernyakhovsk, Kaliningrad Region, the stepfather of a seven-year-old boy, suspected of his murder, said that he had beaten the child for refusing to perform physical exercises. A video clip of the man's confession was provided on February 4 by the press service of the investigative directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the region in Telegram.
"I went into the room several times, asking him every time (to do exercises. - Ed.) Once again I looked that he does nothing. I went in - he was lying down. I grabbed his things and lifted him up," said the child's stepfather.
After the man also showed how he hid the child's body.
Investigators conducted a verification of the suspect's testimony at the scene of the crime. In the near future the man will be charged.
According to preliminary conclusions of the forensic medical examination, the death of the child occurred as a result of closed craniocerebral trauma. A number of forensic examinations were appointed, including forensic medical and biological.
The agency added that the investigation of the criminal case on the fact of murder (paragraph "c" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) continues.
Earlier in the day it became known that his stepfather was detained on suspicion of murder of a seven-year-old boy missing in the Kaliningrad region. The disappearance of the child was reported to law enforcement agencies on February 3 by his mother.
