On February 4, the court arrested the deputy governor of Rostov region Lidia Fedotova for two months in a case of abuse of power.

"To elect Fedotova a measure of restraint in the form of detention for two months, until April 2, 2025 inclusive," RIA Novosti quoted the judge as saying.

According to the investigation, the vice-governor has repeatedly traveled abroad, her son lives with his family in Spain, and she can hide from the investigation. Fedotova herself claims that she only went on vacation to Turkey, and also suffers from a serious illness.
