Uragan MLRS gunners told about the destruction of AFU reserves in the special operation zone

The commanders of the Uragan multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) of the Russian grouping of troops Center on February 4 told Izvestiya about their work on destroying the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) reserves in the special operation zone.

MLRSs go on combat missions several times a day. A senior Uragan gunner recalled that there was a time when specialists at the position changed vehicles in turn - one working while the other was reloading.

"There was one time when we had a gunner changing between vehicles, when a vehicle had just worked off, it was recharged, it came back. It worked off again, again the next car comes along, the gunner would switch to the other car, work again with that car while the other one was recharging. We shot off about 4-5 vehicles," he said.

For his part, Vladimir Senyutin, commander of the Central Group of Forces' MLRS, said that when new gunners are trained, their work is brought to automaticity. This is how they become professionals, he emphasized.

Earlier, on January 31, the Uragan MLRS of the Guards Tank Army of the "West" group of troops destroyed an accumulation of armored vehicles and AFU personnel in the special operation zone. It was noted that the calculations of MLRS in full combat readiness on duty around the clock.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
