REB means suppressed two AFU drones attempting to attack Energodar

Electronic warfare means suppressed two kamikaze drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) while attempting to attack the satellite city of the Zaporizhzhya Autonomous Nuclear Power Plant (ZAPP) Enerhodar. This was reported on February 4 by Maxim Pukhov, acting head of the city administration.

"In Energodar by means of REB suppressed two kamikaze drones of the AFU", - he wrote in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that there are no casualties and fires. Pukhov added that the threat of repeated attacks remains.

He urged residents of Energodar to be careful and cautious, including avoiding open spaces.

Before that, the AFU attacked Energodar with a drone on January 28. As a result of the strike a residential house was damaged. There were no casualties as a result of the incident. Ukrainian forces also attacked the satellite town of ZNPP on January 26.

On January 22, it was reported about the attack of four drones on Energodar. Then the city authorities specified that there were no casualties, there was also no information about destruction, no fires followed. On the same day, the communications director of ZAES, Yevgeniya Yashina, said that the target of the AFU drone attacks was civilian infrastructure.

Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
