Preparation for the flood has begun in the Tyumen Region

The Tyumen Region authorities have started active preparations for a possible flood. About 77 million rubles will be spent for this purpose, according to documents on the public procurement portal.

The plans include cleaning the beds and shoreline of the Mergenki and Karasul rivers in Ishim. This will help to increase the carrying capacity, reduce the level of flood waters and prevent damage from their harmful effects. The initial cost of the contract is 5 million rubles.

Another 72.8 million rubles will be spent on repairing the dam near Ishim Machine-Building Plant. The object is located 39 kilometers from the mouth of the Karasul River. The works should be performed until October 20, 2025, one date can be adjusted taking into account the situation with floods.
