People have protested in Rivne Region of Ukraine over a roadblock on the border with Belarus. This was reported on February 4 by the Ukrainian online publication Strana.ua in its Telegram channel, citing a report by the State Border Service.

"The main requirements that sounded from citizens, not to carry out checks of vehicles and military registration documents of men, to remove the control post, as well as to allow unhindered collection of wild fruits near the state border", - quotes the words of an employee of the border service Andriy Demchenko edition.

It is specified that residents complain about ditches and barbed wire. At the moment, the protesters have dispersed, but threatened to block the road again if nothing changes.

Earlier, January 28, spokesman for the State Border Committee of Belarus Anton Bychkovski reported that the situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border was controlled, while the presence of about 15 thousand Ukrainian military was recorded at the time. According to the spokesman for the Border Committee, "violations of the state border with Belarus were also recorded from the neighboring state" until mid-2024.

Before that, January 21, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said that there were armed gangs near the borders with Belarus, which had not abandoned plans to seize the country's territory, so citizens should be more vigilant. On January 27, he said that the Belarusian authorities would not allow "the boot of an invader to set foot on its land.
