Hundreds of people have fled the Greek island of Santorini due to earthquakes

Hundreds of people have left the Greek island of Santorini on ferries and airplanes to reach the safety of Athens because of the ongoing earthquakes. This was reported by Reuters on February 4, citing sources.
"Flights from Santorini to Athens were completely full," a spokesman for Greek carrier Aegean Airlines told the publication.
He said a total of 2,500 to 2,700 people were expected to depart by the end of the day.
"We are going to leave because earthquakes are constantly happening here, we have to leave for the sake of the children so that the children can be calm," the agency quoted Beni Ouklala, an employee of the island, as saying.
The day before, February 3, it was reported that the authorities of Santorini ordered to close all schools on the island due to increased seismic activity. It was specified that during the last few days there were earth tremors of up to 4.6 magnitude on the territory of the island.
