One person injured in AFU strike on Kakhovka in Kherson region


One person was injured in a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Kakhovka in Kherson Region. This was reported by the head of Kakhovka municipal district Pavel Filipchuk on Tuesday, February 4.
"Today in Kakhovka an elderly woman born in 1937 received a shrapnel wound to the right clavicle as a result of shelling by Ukrainian militants of the residential sector in the city center," Filipchuk said in a message in his Telegram-channel.
He specified that the woman is currently hospitalized in a medical facility, where she is receiving medical care.
Earlier, on January 30, as a result of the AFU shelling of the residential sector in the village of Cairo in the Kherson region, one person was killed and another was injured. The press secretary of the regional governor, Volodymyr Vasylenko, said at the time that the victim was treated at the scene and refused to be hospitalized.
The AFU has been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis against the background of the special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
