In the Moscow region, doctors of the L.M. Roshal Children's Clinical Center took out a flash drive with homework in computer science from the stomach of a 16-year-old schoolboy. This was reported on February 4 by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.

It is specified that the teenager did his work and downloaded it to the flash drive, then began to twist the flash drive in front of his face and accidentally swallowed it. The schoolboy thought that the flash drive would come out naturally, however this did not happen and the family had to seek medical attention.

"In the conditions of the operating room, we gave the boy anesthesia and prepared him for surgery. With the help of special endoscopic forceps without a single incision we extracted the flash drive from the stomach. The procedure lasted only 15 minutes and was successful", - said the attending physician-endoscopist Daria Stepanenko to the agency.

It is noted that the next day after the operation, the 16-year-old boy was discharged home. The flash drive did not manage to harm his body and kept working.

Earlier, on January 21, otolaryngologist in the Kemerovo region extracted from the patient's ear a detail from the designer, with which she lived for 20 years. It was specified that the woman sought help because of a wax plug and deterioration of hearing. The specialist removed a foreign body from the woman's ear, after which the patient's hearing improved significantly.
