A farmers' market will be built in the center of Pskov by 2029

A farmers' market will appear in the center of Pskov on the site of the former "Belorussky Market". It is planned to be built by 2029.
The regional Investment Development Fund told the Pskov Newswire that the project will be invested by Palkinskiye Ryady LLC. At the end of 2024, it was approved by the Investment Council chaired by the governor.
The Fund noted the uniqueness of the project: the investor has a task to fit the market into the historical part of the city, as well as to take into account the fact that the market will be located near the university.
In this regard, 75% of the old market territory will be allocated for a large-scale landscaped cultural and youth space. There will be a children's playground with a modern playground complex, a summer terrace, a recreation area, a place where cultural and business events will be held.
As for the market building itself, it will meet all the latest requirements. In particular, it is planned to equip a covered pavilion of 2 thousand square meters with a ventilation, heating and air conditioning system, as well as parking. On the territory will be erected 100-meter rows for trade in farm and handicraft goods, cafes, places will be allocated for master classes for adults and children.
Thanks to the conclusion of an investment agreement with the regional government, the investor received a land plot on Karl Marx Street on lease without bidding. The volume of investments is 245 million rubles.
At the end of January it was reported that the building of the international airport named after Princess Olga in Pskov will be overhauled.
