A resident of the Chelyabinsk region was convicted of justifying terrorism

The Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg sentenced a resident of the Chelyabinsk region to six years in prison for justifying terrorism. This was reported by the press service of the FSB in the region on February 4.

According to the agency, in October 2023, the man published a comment in the social network "VKontakte" with the justification of terrorism. The FSB opened a criminal case and conducted an investigation.

The court sentenced the man to six years of imprisonment in a colony of general regime, and also deprived him of the right to administer websites for three years.

Earlier, on January 14, the FSB officers detained a resident of Mariupol in the Donetsk People's Republic for publishing in a social network with calls for violence and terrorism against persons singled out on the basis of nationality.
