Minsk voluntarily notified the OSCE about the sudden check of the combat readiness of the Armed Forces

Belarus has voluntarily notified the countries of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) about the inspection of combat readiness in the Armed Forces (AF) of the republic. This was reported on February 4 by Valery Revenko, Assistant Minister of Defense of the state.

"[Belarus] has voluntarily notified the OSCE states about a surprise combat readiness check in the Armed Forces," he wrote in the social network X (former Twitter).

Revenko noted that the OSCE participants were informed of the objectives, timing, number of troops and other data aimed at ensuring the openness of military activities.

On the eve of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported that the Armed Forces will conduct a test of combat readiness, which will approve new ways of using drones. Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said that the army should be ready to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country, if necessary.

On October 30, 2024, Belarus announced a series of military exercises within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). They are scheduled for September 2025.
