Videoconferencing market leaders in AI integration named

MTS Link, VK Calls and IVA MCU are among the top three leaders in the videoconferencing market in terms of integration of artificial intelligence systems. This was reported by the information and analytical agency TelecomDaily based on the results of the research devoted to the implementation of functionality based on artificial intelligence in Russian VCS services for business.
Within the framework of the research corporate users of VCS services were asked to estimate the frequency of using AI functions on a five-point scale. Noise reduction turned out to be the most popular feature: it was given an average of 3.13 points. Sammarization (writing a brief summary of a meeting) received a slightly lower score of 2.63. Next came beatification (1.52), background blurring/substitution (1.43) and automatic transcribing (1.25).
Additionally, an integral score of the VCS AI features was calculated. It takes into account three key aspects: the share of active users of the function, readiness to connect it among those who do not use it yet, and significance for the audience. Noise reduction (2.38 points) was the leader in terms of the combination of factors, followed by meeting self-marization (2.1) and automatic transcribing (1.2).
Based on the number of available AI features in the services, their importance and frequency of use, and the quality of implementation, the services received an integral score on a ten-point scale. The highest final score was given to MTS Link service with a score of 7.87 points. "VK Calls" took second place (5.88 points), and IVA MCU (5.39 points) came in third.
"According to Skolkovo, Russian business loses 8.7 trillion rubles annually due to ineffective communications. AI-based tools integrated with familiar communication services can reduce losses. We at MTS Link pay great attention to the development of AI functions and are confident that they already help our customers to free up hundreds of hours and days for more important things," said Vladimir Urbansky, General Director of MTS Link.
