Severe frosts have arrived in the Murmansk region

Strong frosts have come to the Murmansk region. The Kola Peninsula from Tuesday, February 4, will be in a low-gradient baric field.

On the territory of the region in some places fog, frost, wind is weak, air temperature in some places drops to -30 degrees. In the first half of the day in the central regions of the possible temperature drop to -38 degrees Celsius, reports IA "Beeport" with reference to the Murmansk UHMS.

In the west of the Barents Sea the wind may blow at a speed of 23 m/s. In the east and in the central region slow icing of ships is not excluded.

Earlier, on February 3, leading specialist of the information agency "Meteonovosti" Tatyana Pozdnyakova said that snowfalls and snowstorms are expected in Moscow in the second half of February. A significant amount of precipitation in the second half of February is indicated by some models of long-term forecasts.
