St. Petersburg received an award in the field of event tourism

The winner of the government award in the field of event tourism for 2024 was St. Petersburg's project "Rating of Event Potential of Russian Regions".

The project became one of ten that significantly influenced the development of the Russian hospitality industry. It was evaluated according to 26 indicators. This allowed not only to identify problem areas, but also to develop a strategy with the help of which it is possible to achieve the attraction of more tourists to Russian regions, notes TV channel "78".

According to Governor Alexander Beglov, the Northern Capital has strengthened its position in the development of event tourism in recent years. Thus, the city has created the "Rating of event potential". This is the first analytical tool that assesses the level of infrastructure development in the field of business and event tourism.

Earlier, the International Flower Festival, held in St. Petersburg, was awarded the Grand Prix in the category "Best street theatrical performance and carnival" XIII International Award Russian Event Awards. And guests from 16 countries - Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova and African countries - visited the holiday of graduates "Scarlet Sails", which was held in St. Petersburg.
