The police of the Zabaikalsky Territory are conducting an investigation into a fraud that resulted in the loss of an electrician driver. The man lost 1.8 million roubles.

According to the victim, he saw an offer allegedly from an investment company on the Internet. The man followed the link and left personal data. Soon a "consultant" contacted the resident of the Chita district. For several days, under the guidance of the interlocutor, the victim made transfers to unauthorized accounts, writes IA ChitaMedia.

When the man tried to withdraw funds, the account was blocked. Then the victim appealed to the police. A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of fraud.

In St. Petersburg, an 81-year-old pensioner became a victim of swindlers. Fraudsters contacted the elderly man by phone and introduced themselves as employees of the Federal Security Service and the Central Bank. They forced the victim to hand over more than 3 million roubles to a courier.
