Russian-Iranian relations are actively developing in the military-technical sphere. This was reported by the republic's ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali on February 4.
"Our bilateral relations in the sphere of military-technical cooperation are developing quite well," the diplomat told reporters.
According to him, the sides are satisfied with the result of work in this direction.
On January 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Massoud Pezeshkian signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement. The Russian leader, in turn, called the document a breakthrough and the tasks set in the new agreement between the two countries ambitious.
Putin said on the same day that the new treaty would give the two countries' partnership an additional impetus in all directions. He also pointed out the importance of Pezeshkian's visit to Russia, as his arrival provides an opportunity to discuss all areas of cooperation.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, for his part, said that the treaty sets an example of how to build cooperation between sovereign states.
