The renewed V Anniversary Art and Industry Exhibition-Forum "Unique Russia" in Moscow's Gostiny Dvor awaits guests from February 4, 2025. Until February 9, visitors will be able to see and purchase works of traditional and academic art from all over Russia, as well as works by masters from BRICS countries.
Meander Antik Gallery will present at "Unique Russia" art objects of XIX-XXI centuries, reflecting the national flavor of Russia with its centuries-old history and rich culture. The central exposition includes paintings by Russian artists: "Tea Party" by Sergei Pichugin, a sketch for the painting "The Taking of a Snow Town" by Vasily Surikov and "Winter in the Yard" by Mikhail Hermashev.
Khludnev toys first appeared in the Kaluga region in the first half of the XIX century. The local plastic clays contributed to the development of the craft. During the existence of the folk craft a peculiar marvelous world of Khludnev toys, its original artistic structure, developed techniques of craftsmanship, professional standards of modeling and painting. All the main types of Khludno toys - grematukhs, gudukhs, whistles - can be found at the exhibition "Unique Russia".
The stand at "Unique Russia" presents the works of Larisa Goncharova - Honored Artist of Russia, member of the Union of Artists of Russia, hereditary artist Zhostovo. The dynasty of artists Goncharovs is the successor of Timofey Belyaev - one of the founders of the first workshops in the village of Zhostovo in the early XIX century. Larisa Goncharova is a bright representative of this dynasty, she uses a unique technology of painting, thanks to which the drawings are preserved for many years. The main distinguishing feature of the master's works is the contrast of bright colors with a dark background.
The Republic of Tatarstan has always been famous for its folk arts and crafts. Today there are more than 500 masters in the republic, the works of many of them participate in the exhibition "Unique Russia". Great interest of visitors will be aroused by the products of "Alexeevskaya factory of art weaving", where they know how to preserve traditional patterns and develop new ones on their basis. They produce tablecloth sets, napkins, souvenir towels and women's clothing. Leather mosaic products deserve special attention. Kayuly kun is an original way of making artistic products from pieces of multicolored leather (morocco, yuft) sewn together using a unique technique of hand stitching. Tatar embroidery, one of the oldest and most widespread types of arts and crafts, is also in constant demand. It is used to decorate household items, clothing, women's and men's headdresses, accessories. The works of Gorodets craftswomen are an amazing example of using ancient traditions in ultra-fashionable accessories. The products of the Gorodets Golden Embroidery factory presented at Unique Russia show how the company preserves the ancient Russian traditions of embroidery with gold and silver threads. As a rule, outlandish flowers, fairy-tale characters and plant motifs are embroidered, revealing the beauty of Russian nature.
For more than two centuries the factory "Yeletskiye Lace" carefully preserves and develops the traditions of Yeletsk lace weaving and hand embroidery. Its assortment includes more than 6000 unique products, the most interesting and unusual of which can be seen and even purchased at the exhibition "Unique Russia" and much more.
Among the events of the exhibition:
Evening of friendship with Indonesia, February 4, 17:00. The gala event, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Indonesia, brings together representatives of the two countries in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect.
Forum "Russia 809", February 5, 12:00. The forum will discuss the formation of a new society and human thinking based on traditional spiritual and moral values, principles of creation, harmony and unity; presentations of innovative projects will be held.
Evening of friendship with Sri Lanka, February 5, 17:30. The gala event dedicated to Sri Lanka's Independence Day is designed to emphasize the friendly relations between Russia and Sri Lanka based on mutual respect and cultural exchange.
Festival of children's creativity and pedagogical discoveries "Little Ambassador of the Big World. Living heritage in the rhythm of childhood", February 6, 12:00. The festival is dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage for the younger generation. It is aimed at families with preschool children, teachers and specialists in the field of preschool education.
The exhibition-forum is open from February 4 to February 9 (third stage).
