A participant of "Time of Heroes" became deputy construction minister in Novgorod


Nikolai Sergienko, a participant of the program "Time of Heroes", became deputy minister of construction, architecture and property relations of the Novgorod region. This is reported in the Telegram-channel of the program on February 4.
"Knight of two Orders of Courage, participant of the program "Time of Heroes" Nikolai Sergienko is appointed Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Property Relations of the Novgorod region", - stated in the message.
Sergienko noted that the "Time of Heroes" program gives participants the opportunity to continue serving for the good of Russia. According to him, the internship allowed him to gain work experience under the leadership of Governor Andrei Nikitin.
Sergienko said that in his new position his main task is to work for the benefit of the region's residents. He expressed interest in projects to create socially significant facilities and implement both federal and regional initiatives.
Nikolai Sergienko is one of 83 participants of the "Time of Heroes" program launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He was also awarded two Orders of Courage, the Suvorov Medal and the Medal for Bravery.
The launch of the "Time of Heroes" program was announced by Putin in his address to the Federal Assembly on February 29, 2024. The Russian leader specified that the participants of the special operation will be given the opportunity to enter leading universities and get a civilian specialty as a priority.
The "Time of Heroes" personnel program is aimed at training leaders to work in state and municipal authorities from the participants of the special operation in Ukraine.
On 24 January 2025, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the "Time of Heroes" program is effective and will continue.
