Warsaw understands the true significance of the appearance of the Russian ballistic system "Oreshnik", although it pretends that it has not paid attention to it. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreyev on February 4.

The diplomat said that after learning about the use of this missile, Polish politicians pretended that they did not understand what kind of weapon we are talking about or that it did not attract their attention, but the true reaction of the republic's authorities is different.

"I am sure that both the political and military leadership of Poland is quite aware of the consequences of the appearance in the Russian arsenal of non-nuclear weapons of such power, against which there is no defense," Andreev told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, on January 20, Andrei Koshkin, head of the department of political analysis and socio-psychological processes at the Plekhanov Russian Economic University and a military expert, pointed out that no country in the world has the means to confront the Oreshnik, which is why Ukraine will not get them. Nevertheless, other countries would not like to recognize their vulnerability to this system.

The publication InfoBRICS reported on December 28, 2024 that the Oreshnik system has become the most powerful conventional weapon in the world. These missiles have high maneuverability and speed and are nearly impossible to shoot down.

During the "Results of the Year" on December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the enemy has no chance of intercepting Oreshnik missiles, no matter what experts from Western countries say. Later, on December 22, the head of state called the creation of this system a historic event in the rocket and space field.

Putin announced the live test of the Oreshnik ballistic missile, one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, on Nov. 21. The step was taken in response to the escalation by Western countries in Ukraine. Afterward, the president clarified that Russia would continue testing and that a decision on the serial production of the missiles had already been made.
