Former US President Joe Biden has signed an agreement with a talent agency in Los Angeles Creative Artists Agency (CAA). This was reported by the BBC (BBC) on February 4.

"Biden is one of America's most respected and influential voices in national and world affairs. <...> We are honored to partner with him again," CAA co-chair Richard Lovett said in a statement.

It is clarified that the talent agency is also associated with former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama.

Obama's partnership with CAA through their production company Higher Ground has resulted in award-winning films and TV shows, including the Oscar-winning documentary "American Factory."

During his previous work at the talent agency, Biden published his memoir, Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose, in 2017. The book, which recounts the loss of his oldest son, Beau, became a number one bestseller according to The New York Times and inspired his "American Promise" book tour, which many see as a springboard to his 2020 presidential run.

Earlier on Jan. 20, Biden preemptively pardoned a number of his family members, calling the investigations into them "baseless and politically motivated." According to the former White House chief of staff, his family had been attacked and threatened, which were aimed at causing him pain. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the situation with the pre-emptive pardon a self-defamatory act.

On December 2, 2024, Biden decided to pardon his son in honor of Thanksgiving. Reacting to this, Hunter Biden stated that he intended to dedicate his life to helping people with addictions. In September, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to nine felony counts of failing to pay taxes, and in June, he pleaded guilty to three felony counts of weapons possession.
