A resident of the Amur region is suspected of involvement in the death of two dogs and traumatization of another, a criminal case has been opened. This was reported on February 4 by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Amur region.
"A criminal case under part 2 of article 245 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation "Cruel treatment of animals" against a resident of the village of Razdolnoye of the Tambov municipal district", - informed the press service in the Telegram-channel of the Department.
It is specified that on February 3, local residents filed a statement to the police on a man born in 1996, involved in the death of two dogs and causing injuries to a third animal. The suspect himself stated that he was in a state of alcohol intoxication.
"At present, the investigation continues, the suspect is placed in a temporary detention center", - added in the agency.
Earlier, on January 10, in Kaliningrad initiated a case against a man who beat a dog with a hammer. Pensioner appealed to the police with a complaint about the cruel treatment of her son with a dog named Lida. The law enforcement authorities arrived at the scene, took the animal away and brought it to a veterinary clinic, where the dog was found to have multiple bruises and a skull injury, as well as the loss of an eye.
