Tankers of the Southern Group brought humanitarian aid to the residents of Elizavetovka in the DNR

Soldiers of the tank regiment of the Southern Group of Forces regularly provide assistance to residents of the previously liberated village of Elizavetovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) on February 4.

"In the course of the special military operation, servicemen of the Southern Group of Forces, pushing forward the front line, are also trying to provide as much help as possible to the residents in the liberated territories," the ministry said.

Soldiers of the 10th Tank Regiment liberated Elizavetovka last December. The tankers try to support the villagers despite constant shelling by Ukraine. They regularly visit the villagers and provide them with necessary food and medicines. They also help villagers with paperwork.

"We brought food, warm socks and, most importantly, gasoline for the generator. <...> Many thanks to the guys. They constantly stop and ask: "What do you need?" Last time they gave bread and also some gasoline," said Viktor Onishchuk, a resident of the village.

In addition to humanitarian support, the villagers can also receive qualified medical assistance from Russian military medics.

Earlier, on January 31, Russian servicemen of the 10th Guards Tank Regiment of the 20th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Guards Army of the Southern Grouping also handed over humanitarian aid to residents of the village of Elizavetovka in the Donetsk People's Republic liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
