Hamas commented on the health condition of the Russian hostage in Gaza

Russian citizen Alexander Trufanov, who is being held hostage in the Gaza Strip, is not injured and his condition is good. This was reported to Izvestia by deputy head of the Hamas politburo Moussa Abu Marzouk, adding that Trufanov will soon be released.
"No, he is fine and will soon be released as part of the exchange deal," the Hamas spokesman said when asked about Trufanov's injury.
Marzouk said Trufanov was "still young" and initially should not have been included in the ongoing humanitarian phase of the deal, which involved the release of women, the elderly and the sick.
"By the way, we always prioritize the requests of the Russian side. We did not release any of the men held in November 2023, except for one Russian, out of respect for Russian President Vladimir Putin and his stance on the Palestinian issue," the spokesman for the movement said.
He added that he would inform Russian officials of the specific date of the Russian citizen's release.
