Forecaster predicts snowfalls and snowstorms in Moscow in late February


Snowfalls and snowstorms are expected in Moscow in the second half of February. This was reported on Monday, February 3, by leading specialist of the information agency "Meteonovosti" Tatiana Pozdnyakova.
In conversation with the agency of city news "Moscow" the expert noted that some models of long-term forecasts speak about a significant amount of precipitation in the second half of February. According to her, snow and snowstorms are possible.
"February is likely to end with more snow than is currently outside the window," Pozdnyakova said.
She added that the frost will be replaced by a thaw in the capital again, notes "Moscow 24". The specialist explained that snowfalls occur due to the invasion of warm air. Next weekend is expected "moderate frost", the forecaster expressed the hope that for a long time it will not linger, and the temperature will begin to rise, writes Life.ru.
On the same day, forecaster of the Meteo forecasting center Alexander Ilyin told RT about the imminent return of winter weather to Moscow and its suburbs. According to him, the temperature has already dropped below zero and will continue to drop in the coming days. At night the thermometer columns will show -5...-10 degrees.
