Russian soccer player Suleymanov moved to the North American MLS club "Kansas City"

Russian striker Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov transferred from the Greek soccer club (FC) Aris to Sporting Kansas City. This is reported on February 3 on the website of the club of Major League Soccer USA (MLS).

They noted that the contract with the 25-year-old athlete is for two years with an option to extend until 2028.

Suleymanov started his career at Krasnodar soccer club. He also played for Turkey's Giresunspor and Israel's Hapoel.

"For almost eight years of his professional career Suleymanov scored 55 goals and gave 46 effective assists, playing more than 300 matches in Russia, Turkey, Israel and Greece," Sporting Kansas City said in a statement.

Earlier, on January 14, it was reported that Spartak Moscow and striker Willian Jose terminated the contract by mutual consent of the parties. Willian Jose moved to Spartak from FC Betis in the summer of 2024. He played 13 matches for the Russian team and scored one goal in the Russian Cup match against Dynamo.
