An AFU drone attacked an electric substation in the Kursk town of Rylsk


A drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has attacked an electric substation in Rylsk, Kursk Region. This was reported by Alexander Khinshtein, interim governor of the region, in his Telegram channel on Monday, February 3.
"Today a Ukrainian drone attacked an electrical substation in Rylsk, damaging the power cable," - stated in the message.
He added that due to the drone strike, the power supply to the city and several settlements was partially disrupted. However, it was later restored.
"All consumers are energized, including in the administrative center," - said Khinshtein.
On the same day, Hinshtein reported that the AFU in the Kursk region dropped an explosive device on a car, resulting in the injury of a civilian. It was specified that the wounded was hospitalized in a medical facility, his life is not threatened.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
