Even the brave and strong need support. For World Cancer Day, the authors of the project "Chemistry was there, but we broke up" opened a photo exhibition in Moscow, and the MAER media holding launched an information campaign on the importance of psychological support for cancer patients on media facades across Russia.

"Over the four years of the project's existence, we have gone from the idea of 'making an exhibition about women cancer survivors' to a federal-level initiative. We are convinced that thanks to the courage of our heroes, many people who are going through the disease right now know that they are not alone and look forward to the future with faith, because the stories of our heroes confirm: cancer is not a sentence!" - said Svetlana Polyakova, head of the All-Russian project to support people with cancer "Chemo was, but we parted".

There are almost 4 million people in Russia living with a cancer diagnosis, and 80% of them need psychological support. A photo exhibition of the project opened at the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art on February 1, and a "School of Health" was held here with the support of the Moscow Department of Health.

Thanks to the project's communication partner, the MAER media holding company, an educational campaign "Cancer is not a sentence if you have support" was launched in January and February on media facades across Russia. The main goal is to draw attention to the fact that cancer patients should not be isolated during treatment and rehabilitation.

"We have been supporting this all-Russian project for several years now. And the main task is to create a positive emotional mood in society. The information campaign has been launched in dozens of cities, and in two weeks about 8 million people will learn about the project "Chemistry was, but we parted". The image presented on the digital screens was created with the help of artificial intelligence, over 300 photos of the project heroes - people fighting cancer - were processed," said Konstantin Major, General Director and owner of the MAER media holding.

Since the launch of the project, 87 photo exhibitions have been held. In the capital, more than 130 heroes took part in the photo shoots of the project and 45 exhibitions were held, which were viewed by more than 2.5 million people.
