Putin signed the law on fines of up to 2 million rubles for selling vapes to children

Russia has increased administrative fines up to 2 million rubles for the sale of hookahs, vape devices, cigarettes and nicotine-containing products to minors. The corresponding document, which was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, was published on February 3 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

For violation of the restrictions fines for citizens in the amount of Br200 to Br300 thousand, for officials - from Br500 to Br700 thousand, and for legal entities - from Br1.5 to Br2 million.

Br1.5 million fines have also been introduced for the sale of nasvay, food nicotine-containing products and sucking tobacco.

In addition, citizens are fined from Br10 to Br20 thousand for non-compliance with the rules in the retail trade of tobacco products, officials - from Br30 to Br50 thousand, while legal entities - from Br90 to Br120 thousand.

Earlier, in December last year, Putin signed the law, which provides for criminal liability for the repeated sale of alcohol, tobacco and nicotine-containing products to minors.

Later, on January 28, the State Duma finalized a bill on a complete ban on vape devices in Russia. It was noted that the draft suggests a ban on the production and possession of equipment for the production of nicotine raw materials, nicotine-containing and nicotine-free liquids, devices for their consumption.
