Air defense forces shot down three AFU drones over Belgorod and Kursk regions

Russia's air defense forces have shot down three drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over Belgorod and Kursk regions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry in its Telegram channel on February 3.

"On-duty air defense means destroyed three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: two - over the territory of Belgorod region and one - over the territory of Kursk region," the statement said.

It was specified that this happened in the period from 12:00 to 14:00.

Cruise missiles "Ruta" and "Peklo" could be used in a large-scale raid on our territory.

On the same day, the Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense means overnight intercepted and destroyed 70 UAVs of the AFU over the regions of the Russian Federation.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
