The father of four children, who died as a result of poisoning in the village of Krasnaya Sopka, Krasnoyarsk region, was finally charged. This was reported on February 3 in the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee (GUSU SK) of the Russian Federation in the region.
"Final charges were brought against the 34-year-old father of the dead children in committing a crime under part 3 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to four persons")", - stated in the Telegram-channel.
It is established that in the evening of September 20, 2024, the man treated the house with an insecticidal agent. It is specified that he knew about the methods of application and precautions, but did not follow the manufacturer's recommendations on protection during treatment, ventilation and wet cleaning.
Thus, the defendant allowed the children to eat and sleep in the house, despite compliance with the protective measures. As a result, this led to the ingestion of insecticide particles into the bodies of children through contact with treated surfaces.
It is noted that the criminal case is at the final stage of investigation.
Earlier in the day, forensic chemical examination confirmed that the death of the children came from acute poisoning by insecticides.
The poisoning of the couple and their four children in the village of Krasnaya Sopka, Krasnoyarsk region, was reported on September 21, 2024. The family sought medical help at the hospital with signs of nausea and vomiting. As a result of a sharp deterioration of health, the minor brother and sister died. Later, on September 22, the third child died, and on the 23rd - the fourth. In the GSU SK of Russia in the region said that at the time of the incident, the mother of the dead children was nine months pregnant. She and her husband managed to survive.
On December 2 of the same year, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the cause of poisoning was the improper use of dichlofos. According to the agency, poisons from dichlofos, which was chaotically sprayed by the head of the family, got on all surfaces of the house and things, which caused the death of minors. The next day, December 3, 34-year-old father of four children, who died of poisoning by dichlofos in Krasnoyarsk region, was charged, the man pleaded guilty to the incident.
Also on February 2 of this year it was reported that a three-month-old baby died in this family. It was specified that no diseases were diagnosed, the infant was not registered in hospitals. On this fact a criminal case under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").
