In the Chelyabinsk region, two drug traffickers received up to 8.5 years in prison

The Department of the Federal Security Service (FSSB) in the Chelyabinsk region detained two leaders of an organized criminal group (OCG), specializing in the illegal sale of drugs, they were sentenced to seven and 8.5 years in a strict regime colony. This was reported by the press service of the agency on February 3.

Employees of the FSB detained the attackers in May 2024, they found and seized 1 kg of mephedrone.

Sosnovsky district court of the Chelyabinsk region found the leaders of the OCG guilty of committing crimes under part 3 of Art. 30, part. 5 of Art. 228.1, paragraph "g" of Part 4 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted illegal sale, sale and production of narcotic drugs on a particularly large scale").

It is specified that the attackers organized an online store in the shadow network of the Internet for the illegal sale of drugs. One of them searched for sellers of narcotic drugs and purchased goods from them, after which he delivered them to places of hidden illegal storage. His partner provided transportation and packed the illegal substances.

The court sentenced the drug traffickers to seven and 8.5 years in a strict regime colony and a fine of 150 thousand and 250 thousand rubles, respectively.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the Tverskoy district court of Moscow arrested the director of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) Sergei Grebennikov in the drug case. He was remanded in custody for a period of one month and 19 days. He is charged under Article 30, paragraph "b" part 3 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal production, sale or forwarding of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogs in a significant amount").
