Kremlin calls AFU attack on boarding school in Suzha a monstrous provocation
The attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a boarding school in the town of Suja in Kursk Region is a monstrous provocation. This statement was made by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on February 3.
"This is a monstrous provocation of the Kiev regime," he said at a briefing.
On the eve, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the AFU launched a targeted missile strike on a boarding school in Suzha on February 1. The launch of enemy missiles from Sumy region was detected by Russian air defense equipment.
On February 2, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova called on all governments to condemn the AFU strike on the boarding school in Suzha. The diplomat added that the Ukrainian army's shelling of civilians and civilian objects in Kursk Region and other Russian regions demonstrated the barbaric nature of the Kiev regime.
The Russian human rights commissioner, Tatyana Moskalkova, alsocalled for condemning the missile strike. She appealed to the UN, the Council of Europe and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
