It is too early to talk about the possible composition of the participants in the negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on 3 February.

"So far no one has discussed any serious possible combination of the composition of the participants in the talks. So far, we proceed from the fact that the Ukrainian president[Volodymyr Zelensky, whose powers expired in May 2024] has no right to such negotiations," Peskov said.

He pointed out that in conditions where the decree of Zelensky, which prohibits negotiations, continues to operate, the composition of the parties to the dialog is premature to discuss.
