Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. According to the Defense Ministry, the fighter aviation of the Russian Air and Space Forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 aircraft.

The units of the "West" troop grouping have improved their tactical position. In this direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 300 servicemen, an M113 armored personnel carrier, seven pickup trucks and five field artillery guns, as well as the Anclave electronic warfare station.

In addition, units of the Southern Group of Forces took more favorable lines and positions. They defeated enemy manpower and equipment, including the destruction of two ammunition depots.

Also, units of Troops Group East continued advancing deep into the AFU defense. Ukrainian troops in this direction lost, among other things, an electronic warfare station.

An enemy ammunition depot was also destroyed by units of the Dnipro group of forces.

Air defense assets shot down four Hammer guided aerial bombs, seven HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) shells and 199 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including 124 outside the special military operation zone.

The Russian army struck an energy facility supporting the AFU's operations, infrastructure of military airfields, production workshops, places where drones are stored and prepared for launch, as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in 146 areas.

A total of 653 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 42,338 UAVs, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 21,007 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,513 MLRS combat vehicles, 21,190 field artillery and mortars, 31,149 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
