Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term in office expired on May 20, 2024) should no longer receive assistance from foreign allies. This statement was made by Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko on February 3.

"Do you think Zelensky should get at least another dime before the whole world finds out where $200 million was spent?" - she wrote in social network X (former Twitter).

This is how the journalist commented on the Ukrainian president's statements that he was not aware of the $200 million in aid to Kiev from Washington. At the time, he noted that Ukraine had not received even half of the allocated aid.

In the publication Panchenko added that "no more lies" and called for an audit of the state.

Earlier in the day, Irish journalist Chay Bose expressed the opinion that with his statements about Kiev receiving only half of the allocated aid, Zelensky actually admitted that he was stealing Washington's money.

On January 20, the White House website published US President Donald Trump's executive order suspending Washington's development aid to other countries for 90 days. After, on January 25, Reuters, reported that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) froze programs to support foreign countries, including Ukraine, after a State Department dispatch approved by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

For his part, US political scientist Malek Dudakov told Izvestiya on January 29 that the US decision "hit" Ukraine and Taiwan. In addition, he expressed the opinion that Trump would not step up assistance to Ukraine in the future.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Kiev amid Russia's special operation to defend Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
